UMI positions this Stage 2 kit (ABF803-1-R) as the entry point of its A-Body handling lineup for 68-72 Buick, Chevy, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac cars, built around a fixed-valve, gas-charged monotube shock rather than the adjustable dampers UMI uses on its higher-tier packages. Spring rate is 530 lb/in, bringing the car down 1 inch at both ends. Powder coat covers the tubular control arms and trailing arms, the front sway bar runs solid at 1.25 inches, and a solid 1-inch rear bar wears red powder coat; the bushings themselves are polyurethane, finished black and red.

Dropping the car 1 inch at both ends is baked into this kit, so weigh that against tire and wheel clearance ahead of ordering. Damping is set at one fixed value here; step up to one of UMI's higher-tier packages if rebound adjustment matters to you. This box does not include tie rod sleeves.

Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
- Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
- Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
