Details & Inspection Notes
Speedtech's bare front subframe (10200) is a box-type, laser-cut and JIG-welded steel replacement for a classic muscle car's factory front frame section, weighing only 125 pounds against the stock piece while arriving already configured for true coilover shocks and rack-and-pinion steering. It has Guldstrand modified geometry built in, factory alignment holes to help align the frame to the body, and upper control arm mounts offering extra camber curve adjustability beyond the factory design. Motor mounts are included, sized for LS engines, and no welding is required to install it.
What's included
- Box-type, laser-cut and JIG-welded steel subframe
- LS engine motor mounts
- Factory alignment holes for body alignment
Before you order
This subframe is sold bare and individually, meaning it arrives as the frame structure itself rather than with coilovers, control arms, steering rack, or finish work already on it, so budget for those components and paint or coating separately. Confirm your engine uses LS-style mounts, since the included motor mounts are sized around that configuration specifically.
Common questions

Is welding required to install it? No, welding is not required.
What engine mounts come with it? Motor mounts sized for LS engines.
Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
- Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
- Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
