Details & Inspection Notes
This RideTech StrongArm system replaces the OEM leaf springs on a 63-72 C10 entirely, dropping the rear up to 10 inches once paired with RideTech ShockWaves, through an adjustable panhard bar and new trailing arms rather than leaf-spring geometry. Shocks or coil-overs are not included; this kit supplies the arms, brackets, and C-notches that the shocks then bolt to.
What to check before buying
The system needs a one-piece driveshaft, so a two-piece setup has to be swapped first, and wood-bed trucks need an additional shim kit for proper fit. C-notches ship with the kit and are sized to fit the frame rail directly.
What comes with it
New trailing arms with R-joints at the front attachment are included, which matters if your original arms have rusted out, along with a relocated, adjustable panhard bar, also on R-joints, positioned to keep the axle centered and lower the roll center at the new ride height. The front trailing arm crossmember is routed to let the exhaust pass through it rather than under it, adding ground clearance.
Are shocks included? No, this kit is designed to pair with ShockWaves or coil-overs, sold separately.
Does it work with a wood bed? Yes, with an added shim kit for proper fit.
