RideTech's coil-over version of its HQ suspension package for the 1973-74 Nova pairs front and rear HQ coil-overs with Corvette hub spindles, a bolt-on 4-link rear setup, and a front sway bar, all running on front upper and lower StrongArms.
What to check before buying
Because this kit uses Corvette hub spindles rather than the stock Nova spindle, confirm your brake setup and wheel fitment are planned around that hub style before ordering; a stock-spindle brake kit will not bolt to this front end without the matching hubs. Out back, the 4-link bolts into place without any cutting or welding needed.
Who it suits
This is a coil-over rather than air-spring setup, so ride height is set through the coil-over's spring perch rather than through an on-board compressor, which suits someone who wants adjustable ride quality without running air lines and a tank. Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
- Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
- Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
