QA1's HK22-GMF1 is a level two handling kit for the 1967-69 GM F-Body, covering the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, built around a double adjustable twin-tube front coilover shock with a 450 lbs. spring rate. QA1 lowers the front by 0.0 to 2.0 in. with this setup, finishing the arms in powder coat and the spring in silver powder coat.
What to check before buying
This listing's rear shocks are sold separately because QA1 builds different rear shock absorbers for mono-leaf versus multi-leaf rear suspension on these cars, so confirm which setup your F-Body has before ordering a matching rear shock. No welding is required for the front end.
What comes with it
Up front, the box holds a single adjustable Pro Coil shock system, a thrust bearing kit, a sway bar, street control arms top and bottom, and adjuster sleeves for the tie rods.

Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
- Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
- Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
