The Heidts Pro-G independent front suspension kit, part CF-112, is a bolt-on subframe built specifically for small-block engines, pairing 2-inch dropped spindles with tubular steel control arms and a hydraulic power-assist rack and pinion.
What comes with the subframe
A 4-piston aluminum caliper clamps an 11-inch vented rotor up front, pads included, and the front shocks are single-adjustable coilovers finished with gray/silver springs. The steel subframe, control arms, and all mounting hardware ship with the kit; a front sway bar does not.
Engine fit and wheel clearance
Heidts calls out this kit for small-block engines only, so confirm your engine before buying rather than assuming it suits any Pro-G application, and no welding is required to get it in place. Wheel fitment lands at a 5 x 4 3/4 in. bolt circle, which is worth measuring against the wheels already on your car.

Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist
- Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
- Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
- Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
