Details & Inspection Notes
This Heidts PRO-G independent front suspension kit, part MTF-202-2, is a bolt-on subframe replacement built for the 1964-70 Ford Mustang, sized to clear a Coyote engine swap. It carries 2-inch dropped spindles, tubular steel upper and lower control arms, and single-adjustable coilover shocks with a 500 lbs./in. spring rate.
What comes with the subframe
Steering runs through a hydraulic power-assist rack and pinion, and braking is a disc kit with 11-inch vented rotors and 4-piston calipers, pads included. The crossmember and all mounting hardware are part of the kit, and it is built to install without welding, so the front end goes together as a bolt-on unit once the stock components come out.
What to check before ordering
This subframe is designed around clearance for a Coyote motor swap, so confirm that is your plan before buying, and note the kit does not include a front sway bar. Wheel fitment runs a 5 x 4 1/2 in. bolt pattern, worth checking against the wheels you intend to run before committing to this suspension.
Does this kit need welding? No, it is built to bolt in without welding once the old front subframe is removed.
Can I adjust the ride height? Yes, the single-adjustable coilovers let you tune ride height and damping.

- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
