Details & Inspection Notes

Built with a 3.000 in. body diameter and a monotube internal design, this QAB-adjustable shock, part 883-09-141, is part of Fox Racing Shox's 3.0 Factory Race Series and suits both stock-height and lifted applications.

Specs

  • Extended length: 31.15 in., collapsed length: 18.88 in.
  • Lifted amount range: 0.00-2.00 in.
  • Adjustable valving; gas charged
  • Eyelet mounts, both upper and lower
  • Spherical bearing bushings
  • Boot included, black
  • Sold as a pair; not a remanufactured unit

The eyelet-to-eyelet mounting and modest lift range make this suited to builds that need a bolt-compatible, serviceable shock rather than a dramatic lift increase, and the included boot helps protect the shaft from debris in off-road use.

Matching the shocks to your suspension

Before ordering, compare the extended and collapsed lengths above with your suspension at full droop and full compression. The shock should never be the part that stops the axle, so leave a margin at both ends, and confirm that both eyelet mounts line up with your brackets without spacers you do not already have.

Suspension Setup & Installation Checklist

  • Inspect top mounts, damper seals, bushings, and ball joints prior to fitment.
  • Set initial spring preload, collar heights, and damper rebound clicks symmetrically left to right.
  • Torque all suspension control arm pivot bolts while the vehicle is at resting ride height (loaded suspension).
  • Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
