Details & Inspection Notes

The Ford Performance 5.2L Predator long block (M-6007-M52SC) is the supercharged GT500 engine, a new 315-cubic-inch DOHC V8 fitted with an Eaton TVS R2650 supercharger, putting out 760 horsepower with torque reaching 625 lb-ft at a 9.5:1 compression ratio.

What comes assembled

Spark plugs, the throttle body, and the electronic fuel injection system are installed on this long block. Rounding things out at the factory: a timing cover, an oil pan, a water pump, and a harmonic balancer. The supercharger itself is part of the package, but the flywheel, flexplate, air cleaner, computer, and wiring harness are not, and there is no distributor since the engine runs on EFI.

Where this engine fits

At this output level, the Predator is among the most powerful crate options in this lineup. Builders drop it into a Mustang for a GT500-style swap, into other muscle cars chasing serious power, or into a drag-strip project, all without tracking down a donor GT500 themselves. Before it runs, you'll still need to add an ECU, a matching ignition setup, the fuel delivery hardware, and cooling that can handle this output, and Ford Performance calls for 91-octane fuel or higher. Sold individually, it fits builds already planned around the Predator platform's mounting and accessory layout.

Common questions

Does it include an ECU? No, the supercharger and fuel injection hardware are installed, but the engine control unit is not included.

What's the torque rating? Ford Performance rates it at 625 lb-ft alongside the 760 HP figure.
