Ford Performance's M-6007-Z460FRT is a new 7.5-liter small-block Windsor at 460 cubic inches, built on a cast-iron block with aluminum cylinder heads and a retro-fit hydraulic roller camshaft, rated at 575 HP and assembled with a two-piece rear main seal.
What ships in the crate
The harmonic balancer, water pump, timing cover, and oil pan are bolted on at the factory along with the valve covers, but this long block does not include an intake manifold, throttle body, distributor, flywheel, flexplate, air cleaner, computer, or wiring harness. It is built to run on a carbureted fuel system that the buyer supplies separately, since no carburetor is part of the package.
Who it's for
At 460 cubic inches this is one of the larger small-block Windsor displacements Ford Performance offers, suited to classic Mustangs, Fairlanes, hot rods, and other Ford muscle platforms where the owner is building a complete carbureted ignition and fuel system around the long block. Ford Performance calls for 91-octane fuel or higher; the engine has no street emissions certification, so it is meant for off-road or racing use. Sold individually.
