Ford Performance part M-6007-M50CAUTO is a new, factory-assembled 302-cubic-inch V8 from the Gen 3 Coyote family built for 2018-model-year architecture, rated at 460 HP on a 12.0:1 compression ratio with a DOHC aluminum block and aluminum heads, aimed at a Mustang GT swap or Coyote build running an automatic transmission.

What comes with the engine

Spark plugs, a wiring harness, the throttle body, and the intake manifold with its fuel injection hardware are fitted at the factory, and a flexplate is included for automatic-transmission applications. The timing cover, harmonic balancer, water pump, oil pan, and valve covers round out the assembly, while the crankshaft and pistons are internally balanced with a one-piece rear main seal. There is no flywheel, air cleaner, computer, or distributor in the box.

What you still need

Because the ECU, exhaust system, and fuel system beyond the included injection hardware are left out, plan on a standalone engine controller and custom tuning before start-up. Ford Performance calls for 91-octane fuel or better, and this long block carries no street emissions certification, so treat it as a build for off-road, track, or performance use. It's a direct fit for 2018-and-newer Mustang GT platforms and other Coyote swap projects, sold individually.
