Details & Inspection Notes
This version of the 46 inch gasser-style front axle kit is built for the 5 on 4-3/4 inch GM bolt pattern, combining Ford-style spindles with a brake setup sized to a 54-1/4 inch hub-to-hub width.
What it is for
A straight-axle gasser build that wants the GM metric bolt pattern rather than the Ford/Mopar one uses this version; the axle, semi-elliptical springs, king pins, steering arms and tie rod kit arrive together with the brake hardware, and the spindles follow the forged 4140 steel, 1937-41 round-back design.
Brake and fitment details
Rotors are 11 inch vented pieces riding on a hub with a 6-1/4 inch flange diameter and 7/16 inch fine wheel studs, paired with 78-88 GM metric calipers. Shock mounts come with the kit, though shocks themselves do not, and some welding and fabrication is part of any universal axle install like this one. This axle kit is not built for off-road racing use.
What bolt pattern does this kit use? 5 on 4-3/4 inch, the GM pattern.
Are brake lines included? No, brake lines are not part of the kit.

- Perform a complete 4-wheel laser alignment once ride height has settled to ensure optimal handling and tire wear.
