Details & Inspection Notes

At 296cc, the YP30T carries the largest engine among the 3-inch pumps in this lineup, built specifically to pass solids up to 1-1/16 inch (27 mm) through its impeller rather than clog like a clean-water-only unit. That solids capacity is what makes it a trash pump rather than a general-purpose one.

What that bigger engine is for

Moving debris-laden water takes more power than moving clean water at the same flow, which is why this model's engine outsizes a same-port general-purpose pump. It's rated for a 79-foot total head and a 26-foot suction head, figures that describe how far the pump can push water and how deep below it the source can sit.

Handling grit without wearing out

Both the impeller and the volute case are cast from iron instead of a lighter alternative, built to shrug off sand, grit, and silt wear over repeated use. Its mechanical seal is made from silicon carbide, a Japanese-sourced material the maker says holds up longer than the carbon-ceramic seals used on older pump designs. Standard 3-inch NPT fittings keep hookup straightforward.

Common questions

How much debris can it pass? Solids up to 1-1/16 inch (27 mm) through the impeller.

What warranty does it carry? It carries a 3-year industrial and residential warranty, and Y.E.S. coverage can be added if you want it.

Equipment Commissioning & Pre-Start Checklist

  • Check engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and coolant levels to manufacturer-specified dipstick/sight-glass marks.
  • Inspect fuel shut-off valve, air filter element, and hydraulic hose fittings for secure connections.
  • Verify all safety pins, locks, hydraulic couplers, and guards are secured before starting.
  • Allow a 3–5 minute warm-up period at low idle to circulate lubricants and hydraulic oil prior to applying load.
