Details & Inspection Notes
This listing covers a matched pair of new Honda 150 hp outboards, the BF150DXRA and BF150DXCRA, sold together for twin-engine installation with standard and counter rotation built in so the two units work correctly side by side. Each is a six-cylinder engine carried on a 25-inch shaft, steered through remote mechanical controls, started electrically, at a listed weight of 478 lbs.
Why rotation matters on a twin install
Pairing one standard-rotation lower unit with one counter-rotation unit is meant to cancel out the steering pull that two identical engines would otherwise create side by side on a transom, which is why Honda sells this pairing as a matched set rather than as two of the same model. EFI handles fuel delivery identically on both engines in the pair.
What is included with each engine
Standard features on both units are a charging system, a freshwater flush system meant to make routine maintenance faster, power trim and tilt, and an owner's manual. These features apply equally to the BF150DXRA and its BF150DXCRA counterpart.
Fitment
Confirm the 25-inch shaft suits your transom before ordering, since both engines in this matched pair share that same shaft length; a twin install depends on both sides being rigged consistently.
Full-throttle range and displacement? 5000-6000 rpm, with 2354cc of displacement on each engine.
Warranty? 5 years on this new pair.
