Details & Inspection Notes
The SnowMaster 724 ZXR runs the same 212cc engine and 24-inch intake as its QXE sibling, but trades electric start for a recoil pull, making it the simpler way into Toro's Personal Pace self-propel line. Automatic steering is still standard, disengaging on its own through turns rather than needing a steering trigger.
Where the ZXR trim differs
Pulling a cord instead of turning a key is the main trade-off here, and the chute uses an EZ Turn control, a different mechanism from the lever-style quick stick fitted to the electric-start trim in this same lineup. Everything else about the self-propelled walking-speed system and the 24-inch clearing width carries across unchanged between the two.
What to check before buying
If electric start matters to you, that convenience lives on the pricier trim instead; choosing this ZXR means you're comfortable with a cold-weather recoil pull in exchange for a simpler, lower-cost way to get the same engine size and clearing width. Measure your typical path against the 24-inch intake either way.
Common questions
Does this have electric start? No, it starts with a recoil pull rather than a key or button.
How is the chute aimed? Through the EZ Turn control rather than a lever-style quick stick.
Does it still adjust to my walking speed? Yes, the Personal Pace self-propel system works the same way here as on the electric-start trim.
New, backed by Toro's 3-year consumer warranty.
Colour and intake height? It comes in the factory red and black finish, and the intake opening is 18 inches tall.
