Details & Inspection Notes
Rated at 250 horsepower, the BF250DUCDA WT is a four-stroke V6 outboard on a 30-inch shaft. 628 lbs rounds out the weight figure for this unit. Shift and throttle run digitally through iST rather than a traditional mechanical cable on this unit. This unit carries white cowling panels, a styling option with no effect on the gearcase. Mirrored rotation on this gearcase is meant to pair against a standard-rotation engine on a twin transom; run solo, it performs the same as any other model here. 3583cc and six cylinders define this block, running Honda's EFI fuel-injection system.
Before you order
Confirm fitment with a transom measurement before ordering this 30-inch shaft, since the wrong depth affects cooling as much as speed. Full throttle registers 5300-6300 rpm on this block. This is a typical repower horsepower, chosen to match a boat's existing capacity plate.
What's in the package
Beyond the counter-rotating gearcase, the electronic shift-and-throttle system, and the Grand Prix White cowling, rounding out this motor's gear is a charging coil, a cooling-passage flush port, and electric trim and tilt; Honda's 5-year coverage rides along with the included manual. This motor leaves propeller selection to a separate purchase.
Why does Honda even offer a counter-rotating version? Specifically for twin-engine boats, where identical rotation on both engines causes a persistent steering pull.
Is a propeller included with this motor? No, that's purchased separately.
