What actually tells it apart

Cowling color is the only real difference here; the gear case still runs standard rotation rather than the counter-rotating lower unit Honda sells separately, which only matters if you are pairing engines and need an opposite-turning propeller on one side. Measure the 25-inch shaft against your transom before ordering, since it is the longer option Honda builds for this block.

Equipment covered

Besides the white cowling finish, this motor brings a charging system, switch-run trim and tilt, and a freshwater cooling-system flush to the table, plus the owner's manual. No propeller comes with it, so one has to be sourced on its own.

Care to plan for

The white finish will show water spots and exhaust staining sooner than a standard-color cowling, so plan on wiping it down after outings, in addition to the usual freshwater flush through the cooling passages after any saltwater use. With no pull-cord backup on this electric-start motor, a healthy battery and charging system matter for getting it running every time.
