Details & Inspection Notes
Honda's BF150DXDA WT is the white-cowling finish of the standard-rotation 150 hp iST outboard on a 25-inch shaft.
Finish and fit
White cowlings are the visible change from the standard-color BF150DXDA; shaft length and the rest of the engine carry over unchanged at 25 inches, so measure your transom the same way you would for the standard finish before you order. iST runs shift and throttle electronically rather than by cable, so the helm needs to be rigged to match that interface, the same requirement that applies to the standard-color version of this engine, so budget for that control hardware regardless of which finish you pick.
Power and weight
A four-cylinder, 2354cc engine supplies fuel through EFI and starts electrically. This motor's weight comes to 478 lbs, matching the standard-color DXDA, and Honda rates its full-throttle operation the same 5000-to-6000-rpm range used across this iST family. Choosing between the two finishes comes down to looks rather than anything mechanical, since the shared parts list covers everything from the gearcase to the iST module.
Common questions
Does it include a propeller? No, that's purchased separately.
What else is standard? Besides the cowling color, equipment is identical to the standard DXDA: a charging system, a fresh-water flush port, switch-run trim and tilt, the owner's manual, and a 5-year warranty from Honda.
