Details & Inspection Notes

Honda's BF150DXCDA WT is the white-cowling version of the 150 hp iST counter-rotating outboard on a 25-inch shaft, otherwise the same engine as the standard-color model in this twin-engine pairing.

Counter-rotation and finish

This unit's lower unit turns the propeller opposite a standard-rotation engine, so it's meant to pair with one on a twin-engine transom rather than another counter-rotating motor; confirm your other motor's rotation first. The white cowling only changes the finish over the standard-color DXCDA, with nothing mechanical different underneath; the same lower unit, shaft, and iST controls carry over regardless of which finish you choose, and the running figures Honda publishes apply equally to both.

Power and controls

iST handles shift and throttle electronically rather than through a cable, so match your helm wiring to that system before installing this engine. A four-cylinder, 2354cc block runs on EFI with electric start; Honda puts this engine's full-throttle operation at 5000 to 6000 rpm and its weight at 478 lbs, the same figures as the standard-color DXCDA this one is finished differently from.

What's included

This version keeps the same equipment as the standard-color DXCDA, plus white cowlings: the counter-rotation lower unit, a charging system, switch-run trim and tilt, and a fresh-water flush port, with an owner's manual included. Warranty coverage is 5 years.
