Details & Inspection Notes

The Cub Cadet 3X 34 MAX H is a three-stage snow blower built around a 420cc Cub Cadet OHV engine and a hydrostatic drive, so ground speed adjusts smoothly instead of shifting through fixed gears. A 34-inch clearing width and 16-inch X-Trac tires suit owners with long driveways, gravel, or packed drifts who want one pass to finish the job. Trigger-controlled power steering lets you pivot the machine at the end of a row without wrestling the handlebars.

What the third stage buys you

Adding a third stage means an accelerator auger chops and speeds up snow before the main impeller throws it, which is why this machine handles heavy, wet snow farther and faster than a single or two-stage unit of similar width. The cast-aluminum gear box is sized for that extra load. An LED lightbar on the housing plus dual LED headlights light the path for early-morning or after-dark clearing, and heated handgrips keep hands working through a long session.

Before the first storm

Electric start gets the engine running without pulling a cord in the cold, and the 5-quart fuel tank is sized for extended three-stage runs. Chute direction and the deflector angle are both set from an overhead crank at the control panel, so there is no reaching toward the auger housing to redirect snow. Check tire pressure on the X-Trac tires and confirm the hydrostatic drive engages smoothly before you need it in a storm.

Is this a two-stage or three-stage machine? Three-stage. An extra accelerator auger feeds the main impeller for farther throwing in deep or wet snow.

What sets ground speed? The hydrostatic drive, which is separate from the trigger-controlled power steering used to turn the machine.

This unit is new, model 31AH8E4V710, and carries Cub Cadet's 3-year consumer warranty.

Colour and intake height? It comes in the factory yellow and black finish, and the intake opening is 23 inches tall.

Equipment Commissioning & Pre-Start Checklist
