Details & Inspection Notes
The 3X 30 MAX runs a 420cc engine, larger than the engine used in narrower three-stage models in this range, paired with 16-inch X-Trac tires and three-stage clearing across a 30-inch width.
Why a bigger engine at this width
A 30-inch three-stage deck needs more power to keep the accelerator and impeller stages fed than a narrower deck does, which is why this size steps up in engine output. A steering trigger sits at each handle, and the gear box behind the friction disc is heavy-duty cast-aluminum, same as elsewhere in the range.
Keeping hands and eyes covered
Heated handgrips carry over from elsewhere in the 3X range, paired here with an overhead crank chute, an LED lightbar, and dual headlights, all backed by standard electric start.
Oil level on a bigger engine
A larger engine generally calls for a correspondingly larger oil fill, so it's worth checking the oil level before the first storm of the season rather than assuming it carries over unchanged from a smaller machine, especially after months of summer storage.
How much fuel does it hold? A 5-quart tank.
What drive system does it use? A friction disc into a heavy-duty cast-aluminum gear box, the standard setup rather than the hydrostatic drive used on the PRO H version.
Model and coverage? Model 31AH8EVU710, 3-year consumer warranty, new.
What colour is it? It comes in the factory yellow and black finish.
Equipment Commissioning & Pre-Start Checklist
- Check engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and coolant levels to manufacturer-specified dipstick/sight-glass marks.
- Inspect fuel shut-off valve, air filter element, and hydraulic hose fittings for secure connections.
- Verify all safety pins, locks, hydraulic couplers, and guards are secured before starting.
- Allow a 3–5 minute warm-up period at low idle to circulate lubricants and hydraulic oil prior to applying load.
