Details & Inspection Notes
The 1X LHP steps up from the base 1X HP with a larger 208cc engine and a remote chute and pitch control operated from the handles instead of reaching over to the housing.
Remote control versus manual
Staying at the handles to aim and pitch the chute, rather than walking over to adjust it by hand, is the main practical change from a manually controlled single-stage blower. An in-dash headlight is also built in for low-light clearing before sunrise.
Still a single-stage machine
Like other 1X models, this is single-stage, suited to lighter and more frequent snowfall rather than deep drifts.
Cable care and surface
Because the auger runs close to the ground on any single-stage blower, this one is suited to smooth pavement rather than gravel, where loose stones would get thrown along with the snow. The remote chute cable is also worth a quick look each season, just to confirm it still pulls freely before the first storm arrives, since a stiff cable is easier to notice at home than halfway down a driveway.
What does pitch control add over plain chute control? It adjusts how high or low the snow is thrown, not just the direction it goes.
What size engine does it run? A 208cc OHV engine, larger than the base 1X HP's engine.
Tank, model, coverage? .5 gallons, model 31PM2T6C710, 3-year consumer warranty, new.
What colour is it? It comes in the factory yellow and black finish.
Equipment Commissioning & Pre-Start Checklist
