Unlike the other LT1 in this lineup, this Chevrolet Performance LT1 E-Rod (part 19417593) is built for emissions compliance, sharing its Gen V aluminum block and heads (6.2L, 376 cubic inches) with an 11.5:1 compression ratio and direct fuel injection; horsepower peaks near 6,000 rpm, while torque tops out a bit lower in the band.
What E-Rod adds over a standard LT1
This package bundles the computer and wiring harness needed for integration with modern vehicle electronics, along with the intake manifold, electronic throttle body, water pump, timing cover, oil pan, valve covers, harmonic balancer, and spark plugs and wires, all installed. Only the flywheel, flexplate, and air cleaner stay off the engine, making this one of the more complete long blocks in the Chevrolet Performance lineup.
Why emissions compliance matters here
The E-Rod system carries CARB and EPA certification for emissions compliance across all 50 states, but only when installed with the complete E-Rod system components and the proper emissions equipment; the bare engine alone does not carry that compliance. Given the 11.5:1 squeeze, run premium gasoline rated 91 octane or higher.
