Details & Inspection Notes
Chevrolet Performance built the CPP LSX 376-B8 (part 19432776) to take boost well beyond its naturally aspirated rating of 476 horsepower, which arrives alongside 475 lb-ft of torque, by casting the 6.2L, 376 cubic inch block in reinforced LSX iron rather than the lighter aluminum used elsewhere in the LS family.
Why the LSX block matters here
That reinforced casting is engineered specifically for high-boost and extreme-horsepower builds, paired with high-flow CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads and a hydraulic roller camshaft for smooth high-rpm performance. Compression is set at 9.0:1, a figure chosen with forced-induction headroom in mind rather than maximum naturally aspirated output.
What is included
The oil pan and timing cover arrive installed along with the valve covers and harmonic balancer, but intake manifold, throttle body, exhaust, fuel system, wiring harness, and ECU are all left for the builder. The induction design works with either fuel injection or carburetion, so your intake and ECU choice depends on which route you take for your boosted build.
Planning around boost
Does the rated output include forced induction? No, those figures are naturally aspirated; the engine is built to handle significantly more power once boosted. What fuel should I run? Premium at 91 octane or higher, and a standalone ECU and wiring harness need to be sourced separately for tuning. Does this come with an intake manifold? No, that is left out along with the throttle body so you can choose hardware suited to your specific boost or carburetor plans.
