This is a carbureted 5.7-liter small block (part number 19433042) rated at 405 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, built on a cast-iron block with aluminum heads and assembled complete rather than sold as a bare long block, ready to drop into a classic Chevy platform.
What's included and what isn't
The carburetor, intake manifold, distributor, ignition system, oil pan, valve covers, timing cover, water pump, harmonic balancer, flexplate, air cleaner, and spark plugs and wires all arrive already installed on top of a hydraulic roller camshaft and 9.72:1 compression. Headers, a fuel pump, and an exhaust system are not part of the package, and because this is a carbureted design rather than a computer-controlled one, there is no flywheel, computer, or wiring harness included either.
What to check before ordering
Plan for a compatible fuel, ignition, and cooling setup sized for this compression ratio before the engine arrives, along with the headers and exhaust it does not ship with. Recommended fuel is 91-octane or higher, and since there is no ECU on a carbureted build like this, no wiring harness is needed to get it running.
