Details & Inspection Notes
BluePrint's 427 Pro Series combo makes 540 horsepower and 535 lb-ft of torque at a 10.0:1 compression ratio on a forged-internals small block. A 700R4 automatic bolts up behind it, with the polished accessory drive and Sniper 2 EFI tuning rounding out the front of the engine.
What it is built for
This is one of BluePrint's higher-output small-block builds, running electronic fuel injection and an automatic transmission for easier street use rather than a manual gearbox. Initial ignition timing is set at 10 to 16 degrees, with total timing at 32 to 34 degrees.
What to check before ordering
Stall speed on the supplied converter is 2,200-2,400 rpm, and the flexplate and starter are already in the kit. At this power level, confirm your motor mounts, cooling capacity, and fuel supply are sized for a 540-horsepower small block before installing it. California installers should treat this as an engine change subject to Bureau of Automotive Repairs policy, not as a direct factory swap.
Common questions
Does this combo use a carburetor? No, it runs on the included Holley Sniper 2 EFI system instead.
Do automatic builds like this need a flywheel? No, the flexplate supplied with the kit takes its place.
Is the front accessory drive polished? Yes, along with the rest of the hardware in this kit.
What ignition timing does this combo run? Initial timing of 10 to 16 degrees, with total timing at 32 to 34 degrees.
