Details & Inspection Notes
This is the base-dressed sibling to BluePrint's deluxe low-profile EFI 383, running the same output: 436 horsepower, 443 pound-feet, with the compression ratio holding at 10.0:1, plus Holley Sniper injection and low-clearance hardware, minus the front accessory-drive pulley kit the deluxe version carries.
What's installed
Front-end height comes down thanks to a compact balancer, a small-cap distributor with its own tach drive and coil, and matching premium vintage pieces for the air cleaner and valve covers, aimed at Corvettes, Tri-Five Chevys, Camaros, and similar tight engine bays. Fuel runs through the Holley Sniper system and an aluminum intake, with spark plug wires tucked under the headers for Rams Horn-style manifolds. BluePrint's own test stand produces the dyno sheet that ships with the engine.
What to plan for
No fuel pump or feed lines come with this package, so budget for those separately. C2 Corvette owners will likely need a modified or replaced hood and motor mounts, and this aftermarket intake may not match factory-style brackets that bolt to a stock intake's own mounting points. It's not intended for pollution-controlled vehicles, and it's covered for 30 months or 50,000 miles.
What separates this from the deluxe low-profile EFI version? This listing skips the accessory-drive pulley system entirely, so a builder would wire up their own alternator and steering-pump mounts, which can trim some cost off the build.
Is this engine new? Yes, it's a new assembly rather than a rebuilt or reconditioned core, and every unit is dyno tested before it leaves BluePrint.
