Details & Inspection Notes
An ATK HP89CPOL Chevy 350 complete engine, a refurbished build made from a handpicked, remanufactured block and rated at 390 horsepower, carrying more installed accessories than a bare long block.
What sets this build apart
Because it starts from a remanufactured core rather than new casting, this engine is hand-assembled and balanced rather than built from scratch, around ATK's aluminum cylinder heads, where valves are sized 2.020 inches on the intake side and 1.600 inches on the exhaust side, a hydraulic roller camshaft running 220 degrees of intake duration and 224 degrees of exhaust duration, and 10.0:1 compression.
What comes with it
Installed parts include the intake manifold, carburetion, distributor, ignition wiring and spark plugs, valve covers, the timing set, oil pump and pickup tube, water pump, and front damper and flexplate, on a 5.7-liter (350 cubic inch) block with a 4.040 x 3.480-inch bore and stroke. Recommended fuel is 91-93 octane, and buyers should still plan on sourcing their own accessory drive and exhaust components to complete the installation.
A note on emissions
Since this engine is sold for engine-change use rather than as a direct OEM replacement, California requires swaps like this to go through the state's established engine-change compliance process before the vehicle can be registered.
