This ATK D/VCM9 is a remanufactured Vortec long block displacing 350 CI (5.7 Liter), sized for 1996-2000 Chevy and GMC C/K-series trucks, vans, and SUVs and built with 4-bolt mains. Being remanufactured rather than new, it's rebuilt from a core rather than cast from fresh material, and it arrives complete rather than as a bare block.
What's included
The package arrives with cast heads, center bolt valve covers, a roller camshaft, an oil pan, and a timing cover already installed. Camshaft specs run 220° intake / 224° exhaust duration at .050 with .528/.536 inches of lift, on a 4.040" x 3.480" bore and stroke, and the engine uses a 1-piece rear main seal with internal/external balance. A water pump is not part of this package.
What to check before buying
Confirm your truck, van, or SUV falls in the model years this block was built for before ordering, since Vortec long blocks changed across model years. Since this long block is sold for engine changes rather than as a direct OEM replacement, California requires its own Bureau of Automotive Repairs approval before you drive it on public roads.
