Details & Inspection Notes
This RapidTrak 28 pairs a 420cc Polar Force engine with a track undercarriage offering three positions, track, wheel, and dig-in, plus hydrostatic drive for stepless speed changes, sitting alongside a wider RapidTrak Professional and a wheeled version of this same width in the same range.
Choosing a track position by condition
Moving among the three RapidTrak positions during one storm is the point: wheel mode once pavement is clear, track mode for flotation in deep snow, dig-in when the machine needs more bite than float. Direction comes from Auto-Turn's triggerless design, while the gears stay sealed inside a cast iron case under the hydrostatic drivetrain.
Controls
A halogen headlight and heated handgrips support long sessions, and chute aim adjusts quickly without leaving the handles. Electric start is standard.
Switching positions mid-storm
Changing track positions calls for stopping the machine first rather than shifting on the move, so plan the switch for the start or end of a section of driveway rather than mid-pass. It is a quick adjustment once stopped, but not one meant to happen while the machine is still rolling forward. Picking the setting that matches the surface underfoot, rather than leaving it on one position all storm, is what the three choices are there for.
What is the clearing width? 28 inches.
Tank, model, coverage? .8 gallons, model 926078, 3-year consumer warranty, new.
What colour is it? It comes in the factory orange and black finish.
