Details & Inspection Notes
Model 926084 is a newly redesigned RapidTrak take on the Professional 28: a 420cc Polar Force engine driving a track undercarriage with three positions, track, wheel, and dig-in, paired with hydrostatic drive for stepless speed changes instead of fixed gears.
Track plus hydrostatic
Pairing RapidTrak's three track positions with hydrostatic drive is what distinguishes this unit: tracks hold traction on ice or deep snow, while hydrostatic drive lets you adjust speed without shifting through gear notches. Keeping the tracks turning is a cast iron gear case behind the drivetrain, while triggerless Auto-Turn steering handles direction on any pavement sections.
Chute control and lighting
Rather than a manual quick-turn knob, this model uses electric joystick chute controls, useful when adjusting direction often on a tracked machine. Heated handgrips and an LED headlight are included, along with electric start.
Wiring to check each season
An electric joystick at the chute means an added wiring run compared to a hand-crank setup, so it's worth a quick visual check of that harness each fall before the first storm. Confirming the connectors are seated and not corroded takes a few minutes and avoids a chute that won't respond mid-storm.
How does the chute control work? By an electric joystick rather than a hand crank.
What is the clearing width? 28 inches, matching the wheeled Professional 28 in the same engine class.
Tank, warranty? .8 gallons, 3-year consumer warranty on this new unit.
Colour and intake height? It comes in the factory orange and black finish, and the intake opening is 23.5 inches tall.
Equipment Commissioning & Pre-Start Checklist
- Check engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and coolant levels to manufacturer-specified dipstick/sight-glass marks.
- Inspect fuel shut-off valve, air filter element, and hydraulic hose fittings for secure connections.
- Verify all safety pins, locks, hydraulic couplers, and guards are secured before starting.
- Allow a 3–5 minute warm-up period at low idle to circulate lubricants and hydraulic oil prior to applying load.
