Details & Inspection Notes
The 383R ProStreet is a 383 cubic inch Small Block Chevy build dyno proven at ~508 HP, built with forged internals and CNC aluminum heads for serious street and strip use. The turnkey version comes assembled and dyno tested with A/C provisions in place, while short-block and long-block configurations are also available if you're building around existing accessories.
What's inside
The rotating assembly uses a forged steel crankshaft, forged H-beam rods, and a light weight forged piston set running 10 to 1 compression so it stays compatible with pump gas. A hydraulic roller cam and hi-rise intake feed the CNC aluminum heads, which use 2.02/1.60 valves. Fuel delivery is available as EFI or a carbureted setup, with alternator and power steering provisions included.
What to check before buying
This build is tuned across a 2000-6500 power range with a lopey idle, and the builder recommends a 2000-2500 stall converter to match it. Confirm your motor mounts, driveline, cooling, and brake capacity before installing, and plan on a professional install for a build this aggressive.
