Details & Inspection Notes
This Yamaha F50LB is a new 50 HP, 4-cylinder four-stroke outboard, listed as Scratch and Dent Level 1, unit 5138, with a 20-inch shaft and remote mechanical steering. Built as a 1-liter midrange motor inspired by the larger F70, it targets inshore fishing boats that want power without extra weight on the transom.
What it is for
At 996cc of displacement and 247 pounds, the F50LB is light enough for smaller center consoles and bay boats while still delivering remote-steer convenience. Electronic fuel injection and electric start are standard, with a full-throttle range of 5000 to 6000 rpm.
Condition notes
Marked Scratch and Dent Level 1, this is a new motor with cosmetic imperfections rather than a used or rebuilt unit; ask about the blemish location and severity before ordering if that matters for your install.
Trolling control options
- A Multi-Function Tiller Handle for manual trolling adjustment
- The Command Link Tachometer for monitoring from the dash
- A remote switch at the helm for Variable Trolling RPM adjustment, known as VTS
Is the propeller included? No, a prop is not included with this motor.
What is the warranty? Yamaha covers this model for 3 years.
Standard equipment covers power trim and tilt, the steering link arm, fuel line, and the owner's manual, leaving the propeller as the one piece buyers need to source separately for a complete install. Yamaha outboards
