Details & Inspection Notes
The Weiand Street Warrior intake is built for 396-427 c.i.d. big-block Chevy engines with peanut-port cylinder heads, aimed at the larger-displacement, stroker and higher-flow-head combinations that older manifold designs weren't engineered around.
Who it suits
Weiand ran the runner geometry through computational fluid dynamics modeling to even out fuel and air distribution between cylinders, with a universal dual-pattern carburetor flange that accepts both spread-bore, Quadrajet-style, and square-bore carburetors, so it isn't locked to a single carburetor type.
Construction
It's cast from permanent-mold 319 aluminum and precision CNC machined for a lighter casting with a cleaner surface finish than older manifold designs. The dual-plane, low-rise layout is built for a usable idle-to-5,500 RPM power band rather than a narrow, high-RPM-only range.
Common questions
Will this fit a stock-displacement 396? Yes, the range covers 396 to 427 c.i.d. with peanut-port heads.
Is it a single-plane or dual-plane design? Dual-plane, low-rise, built for broad torque rather than a single-plane's narrow top-end focus.
