Details & Inspection Notes

This remanufactured three-speed carries a 1,200 advertised horsepower rating with a built-in trans-brake and a full manual valve body, and unlike the higher-rated SFI unit nearby in the lineup, it will mate with any aftermarket bellhousing that attaches at the front pump rather than one specific housing.

Internal build

Inside is a billet 6061 coated aluminum drum, a sprag with 36 Pro-Mod elements, clutch packs and steels built for performance use, and a billet forward clutch hub, all sitting in an OEM-style case finished in black. The input shaft is 300M material in the same TH350/400 pattern, running 30 splines, with a 2.48:1 first gear. The deep pan carries a natural aluminum finish, and the tailshaft measures 4.000 inches, matching the shorter-tailshaft Chevy-pattern competition units nearby in this catalog.

What's not in the box

It's not lockup compatible, and a torque converter won't be in the crate, nor will the flexplate, controller, harness, or cooler; fluid and a dipstick are also left out. Because it accepts any front-pump-mounting aftermarket bellhousing, you have more flexibility matching it to an existing engine package than a unit tied to one specific housing. Sold individually.

Does this need a special bellhousing? No, any aftermarket housing that bolts to the front pump will work. Is a torque converter included? No, source one rated for your horsepower and stall needs separately.
