Details & Inspection Notes
Shotgun Bill's Scoop street tunnel ram kit pairs an unpolished Edelbrock 2-O manifold with twin carburetors and the signature polished scoop, built for big-block Chevy V8s in the 396-502 c.i.d. range with large oval-port heads from 1975 and earlier. It suits lightweight, high-RPM builds such as T-buckets and pro-street cars rather than a daily-driven truck that needs strong low-end pull.
Who it suits
The kit is tuned for an optimum power range of 3,500-7,500 RPM, and it particularly suits engines already running slightly modified or aftermarket cylinder heads with 9.5:1 compression or higher. If your build is set up for low-end torque rather than top-end RPM, this is not the right manifold.
What's included
The kit ships with the manifold itself in unpolished finish, a pair of 600 cfm manual-choke Edelbrock Performer carburetors (model 1405), the polished scoop complete with filters and linkage, and a single carb spacer to level both carburetors for proper fitment under the air cleaner and scoop.
Dimensions to check before buying
Port exit dimensions are 1.56 in. by 1.89 in., manifold height is 10.63 in., and the scoop measures roughly 20-1/2 in. long, 11-1/4 in. wide and 6 in. tall, with two 5-1/4 in. diameter intakes. Measure your hood clearance against those figures before committing to the kit.
