Details & Inspection Notes
The 52343-S400 swaps the torsion-bar front end on a classic Dodge or Plymouth B/E-body, Charger and Road Runner among them, for a QA1 crossmember, tubular control arms, and a single-adjustable coilover carrying a 400 lbs./in. spring. A rack-and-pinion rack with hydraulic assist takes over steering duty from the stock box.
What to check before buying
Brakes stay your own responsibility here; no disc kit is bundled in, though QA1 says the front end accepts stock-style or aftermarket rotors and calipers either way. Spindles sit at stock height, and the crossmember geometry leaves room for several engine options, Gen 3 Hemi swaps included, so repower plans should still fit.
What comes with it
Steel construction throughout gets a powdercoated finish, spindles matching the crossmember's stock-height design, plus tie rod ends and all mounting hardware for the swap. Nothing in the box calls for welding; it is a bolt-in replacement for the factory pieces.
Does it include brakes? No, rotors and calipers are sourced separately.
How much drop does it give? Up to 2 inches below stock height.
