QA1 lists its 52624 crossmember retrofit kit as a bolt-in piece for a C10 that already carries a QA1 coil-over system, replacing the stock steering with a power rack-and-pinion setup. QA1 states the swap trims roughly 70 lbs. of weight and opens up 2 in. of extra drop, for up to 8 in. total once combined with the coil-overs already on the truck.
Who it suits
This kit is meant for a truck that already has a QA1 coil-over conversion in place rather than as the first suspension change you make; QA1 does not include engine mounts, which are sold separately for your particular engine.
What comes with it
The crossmember ships black powdercoated, with the power rack-and-pinion steering hardware and everything needed to bolt it in; QA1 states the frame does not need to be cut or welded for this install.
Do I need an existing QA1 coil-over system first? Yes, QA1 designs this retrofit to work with its coil-over conversion systems already in place.
Are engine mounts part of the kit? No, QA1 sells engine mounts separately.
