A new, complete 4-speed automatic package, the Performance Automatic PA60103 Street-Smart system is built around a 3.06 first gear ratio and a 12-inch torque converter rated for a 2,500-RPM flash stall. Lockup capability improves highway efficiency once up to cruising speed, inside an OEM-style aluminum case finished in black.

What is in the box

This system includes the transmission controller, a wiring harness, the matched torque converter, a dipstick, and a filler tube, covering most of what a street build needs beyond mounting hardware. A transmission cooler and a flex plate are not included, letting a builder choose a cooler sized for their own setup rather than being locked into one supplied with the system. Keeping those two items separate also means an existing flex plate can carry over if it already matches the engine.

Who this system suits

A 2,500-RPM stall speed sits on the milder end for a performance torque converter, which points this system toward street rods and custom muscle cars that still need to idle and cruise comfortably rather than a dedicated race car. The 3.06 first gear ratio still gives a noticeable step off the line despite that mild stall speed. The system is tested before shipping to confirm it performs as built.

Do I need to buy a flex plate separately? Yes, along with a cooler, since neither ships with this particular system.
