Details & Inspection Notes
Sold individually, this OER panel is a reproduction rear inner side piece fitted to Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird models built from 1972 through 81, with the driver and passenger sides offered as separate parts.
Left or right, and which trim
OER molds the driver-side panel under part 20189752 and the passenger side under 20189751, each from injection-molded ABS matching the factory grain and the original mounting points. Trim coverage is uneven across the Camaro line: SS appears only for 1972; Z28 spans the full 1972-1981 range, and Berlinetta starts in 1979. On the Firebird side, Base, Esprit, Formula and Trans Am are all covered for the entire 1972-1981 span. Check your exact year, trim and side against that list before buying.
Finish and painting
The panel ships in black. OER expects you to apply your own interior-color paint, bought on its own from OER, rather than offering this part pre-finished in a specific interior shade.
Why these wear out
OER points to sun and UV exposure as the usual reason factory-original panels crack, fade or otherwise break down over time, which is typically why a replacement like this one gets ordered.
Does one panel cover both sides? No, each side is its own part, and this listing covers one panel.
Is it pre-painted? No; it ships black and needs OER's interior paint, sold separately, to match your car.
