Details & Inspection Notes
This white-finished XXL Verado 400 combines the longest shaft option in this line, at 30 inches, with counter rotation available. Unlike the non-white XXL, counter rotation is offered on this version.
Counter rotation and finish together
Choose this configuration if both a white cowl and counter rotation matter for your build, since the plain XXL skips the cowl color and the standard CXXL leaves the finish choice aside. The cowl comes in pearl fusion white, warm fusion, and cold fusion.
What's standard across the line
Throttle and gear changes on this unit run electronically, the helm gets hydraulic steering assistance, engine mounting is designed to isolate vibration, and the starter protects against overload. At 668 pounds, 24 valves and dual overhead camshafts work across this engine's 2.6-liter inline-six block. Counter rotation is available here too, for owners planning an opposite-rotating twin setup. At wide-open throttle, RPM falls between 6200 and 6800 on this unit. A tool kit, mounting hardware, along with the owner's manual come standard with this engine. undefined
What colors are offered? Pearl fusion white, warm fusion, and cold fusion.
What's the warranty? Mercury Marine's 3-year warranty.
Should I pick this over the plain XXL? Only if counter rotation or the white cowl matters to you; otherwise the mechanics are the same.
Does the cowl finish need any special cleaning? No, rinse it like any other outboard; no extra care is needed for the white finish.
