Details & Inspection Notes

The XXL Verado 300 in white trim runs on a 30-inch shaft, without counter rotation. This is the longer-shaft option in the 300 line for transoms too tall for the shorter shaft choices.

Matching shaft length to your transom

Pairing a tall-transom hull with too short a shaft leaves the gearcase riding high and starves both bite and cooling, which is exactly why this longer option exists. Counter rotation is not part of this build; run it alone or pair it with another unit that spins the same way, not an opposite-turning twin.

What's standard across the 300 line

600 pounds of V-8 four-stroke, 4.6 liters of displacement, make up this engine. Gear changes on this engine are electronically controlled, the steering wheel gets hydraulic assistance, the mounts isolate vibration from the hull, and the starter includes overload protection. At wide-open throttle, RPM for this engine sits 5200 to 6000. You receive mounting hardware, a tool kit, and the owner's manual. This engine ships without a propeller.

Does this configuration offer counter rotation? No, look at the CXXL version of the 300 for an opposite-rotating twin setup.

Is there a warranty? Yes, Mercury Marine's 3-year warranty covers this engine.

Why does a 30-inch shaft cost less attention than color here? Fitment is non-negotiable; the right shaft length matters more to how the boat runs than cowl finish ever will.
