Details & Inspection Notes

Finished in one of Mercury's white cowl options, this XXL-shaft Verado 250 carries the longest shaft in the 250-horsepower range, at 35 inches, and skips counter rotation. It is built for boats with tall transoms that still want the lighter cowl look.

Shaft length first, color second

Before thinking about cowl color, confirm the 35-inch shaft actually fits your transom; this length exists for hulls where a shorter shaft would leave the engine riding too high. Once that is settled, the white finish is available in cold fusion, warm fusion, or pearl fusion white, purely as a cosmetic choice over the standard cowl.

Standard Verado features

600 pounds and 4.6 liters of V-8 four-stroke sit beneath this cowl. Shifting on this unit runs through electronic controls for crisp changes, the wheel is hydraulically assisted, the mounts are designed to cut vibration, and the starter protects against overload. At the top of the throttle, RPM runs 5200 to 6000. This engine comes packaged with the owner's manual, a tool kit, as well as mounting hardware. This configuration does not include a propeller.

Can I get counter rotation on this configuration? No, this particular shaft-length-and-color combination does not offer it.

Is a propeller included? No, it is not included and should be sourced separately based on your boat and gearing.

Does the white finish cost performance anywhere? No, cowl color has no bearing on how the engine runs.
