Details & Inspection Notes

This used 9.9EXLPT Command Thrust ProKicker EFI combines an extra-long shaft with remote steering and the larger, fuel-injected 333 cc engine used on the EFI ProKickers, noticeably heavier on the scale than the carbureted version of this same family.

Remote steering on the long-shaft EFI engine

Steering controls are sold separately here, so this suits boats already set up with console controls rather than a tiller handle, paired with the extra-long shaft for taller transoms on sailboats and similar hulls.

What EFI changes

Gearing runs 2.15:1 on this engine, and the fuel-injected block monitors a wider set of fault conditions than the carbureted ProKickers in the same lineup, including fluid pressure and overheating warnings the simpler engines lack entirely.

A six-step power tilt instead of a lever

Rather than notching a manual ratchet, this motor lifts through six distinct powered settings at the push of a switch. Tank size is your call too, a 3.2-gallon tank for shorter trips or a 6.6-gallon tank when the day calls for more range. A 25W-40 synthetic blend is the recommended oil here, keeping the fuel-injected block lubricated properly under load.

Common questions
