Details & Inspection Notes
This used 9.9ELPT Command Thrust ProKicker EFI FourStroke is the remote-steer counterpart to the tiller EFI ProKicker: the same larger, fuel-injected 333 cc engine and six-position power tilt, but set up for a console at the helm rather than a handle on this particular unit.
A different engine than the carbureted ProKickers
Displacement steps up to 333 cc on this EFI block compared with the smaller carbureted 9.9 ProKicker engine, and the gearcase ratio moves to 2.15:1 to suit the added power, still carried on a 20-inch shaft like the rest of the family.
Remote steering, more monitoring
Steering controls are sold separately since this is a remote-steer configuration, and the fuel-injected engine tracks a broader set of fault conditions than the simpler carbureted motors. Dry weight on the EFI block runs noticeably heavier than the carbureted version of this same motor family.
Running it
Recommended oil is a 25W-40 synthetic blend, with Mercury FC-W 10W-30 as an alternate choice. You can pair this motor with either a compact 3.2-gallon tank or step up to a 6.6-gallon tank when you need more range between fills on a longer day of towing a main boat behind this one.
Common questions
Is this carbureted or fuel-injected? Electronic fuel injection.
How many trim positions does it have? Six, power-operated.
What's the shaft length? 20 inches.
