Details & Inspection Notes

Drop the tiller for remote steering and you get this used 9.9ELPT Command Thrust ProKicker: the same 20-inch shaft and power tilt as the tiller ELHPT version, but controlled from a console rather than a handle at the motor.

Built for console-steered boats

Remote steering means the helm supplies its own throttle and steering controls; this motor mounts and tilts but doesn't steer from the motor itself, fitting boats already wired for a main engine's console controls rather than a tiller boat with nothing else installed.

Specs that carry over from the tiller version

Gearing stays at 2.08:1, dry weight sits at 84 lb, and power tilt moves through ratcheting positions rather than a plain manual lever, the same mechanical layout as the ELHPT model minus the tiller arm itself.

Condition and care

Being a used motor, ask about hours and service history before buying, since trolling motors in this class often rack up hours quietly while idling alongside a main engine. Feed it 87 octane gasoline with up to 10 percent ethanol, finished in Phantom Black, with fuel tank options of 3.2 or 6.6 gallons.

Common questions

Is this tiller or remote steered? Remote; steering controls are sold separately.

Is tilt manual or power? Power tilt.

What size fuel tanks fit it? Either a 3.2-gallon tank or a 6.6-gallon tank.
