Details & Inspection Notes
This used Mercury 60ELPT outboard steers from a remote console rather than a tiller, with electric start and a 20-inch shaft. Mercury's own paperwork for this unit lists its gearcase as standard rather than Command Thrust, even though the model name references Command Thrust; treat the gearcase as standard and confirm with us before ordering if that distinction affects your propeller choice.
Engine specs
Displacement on this inline-4 engine is listed at 60.8/995 (CID/CC). Full throttle tops out between 5500 and 6000 rpm, weight dry is 247 lbs, and the alternator is rated 18 amps at 226 watts. Shallow water trim runs 20 degrees, with an optional remote fuel tank hookup available.
Running and condition
Starting is electric turn-key, controls are mechanical and sold separately, and fuel delivery runs through electronic fuel injection. Fuel should be 87-octane or better, with ethanol content up to 10 percent; Mercury calls for its FourStroke 25W-40 oil here too. Running hours on a used motor like this vary; get that detail from us if it factors into your decision.
Will a Command Thrust propeller fit this motor? Confirm the gearcase with us first, since this unit's own paperwork gives it as standard rather than Command Thrust.
Does this also support a remote fuel tank hookup? Yes, an optional remote fuel tank connection is listed for this engine. Mercury outboards
