Warm Fusion White is the finish on this used 2022 Mercury 600XL Verado FourStroke, the same 7.6-liter V12 powerhead Mercury builds across its flagship 600hp Verado line, engineered around a quad-cam head for strong torque and acceleration under load.

Specs on this motor

461 cubic inches of displacement; the cylinders measure 3.8 inches bore and 3.4 inches stroke, 96 and 87 mm; and a full throttle band of 5600 to 6400 rpm define this engine's performance envelope. It carries a 25-inch shaft, a 2.50:1 gearcase ratio, and a dry weight of 1260 lbs, with a 150-amp alternator for boats carrying heavy electronics loads on board.

Running it and ordering notes

Mercury wants at least 87-octane unleaded in the tank, or a 90 RON blend once ethanol content climbs toward 10 percent. For oil, this engine takes Mercury's full-synthetic marine formula in the 10W-30 grade, filled to 13.3 liters, or about 14 quarts. A propeller is not included, so plan to buy one sized to your boat once the motor is on hand.
