The Mercury 25HP ELH FourStroke is a new outboard with a 20 inch shaft, tiller steering, and electric start, built for boats that sit a few inches deeper at the transom than a short-shaft model.

Who it suits

Like other tiller models in this range, the ELH keeps throttle, shift, and steering at the motor rather than a remote station, which many owners of aluminum fishing and utility boats prefer for simplicity. Electric start takes the pull cord out of the routine, and trim is set by hand rather than from a switch.

Specifications

Mercury's three-cylinder four-stroke here displaces 32.1 cubic inches, spinning up to 5000-6000 rpm at full throttle through electronic fuel injection, and weighing 157 lbs dry. Mercury backs it with a 3-year factory warranty.
