Details & Inspection Notes

This Mercury 250HP XXL is available in a trio of finishes: cold fusion, warm fusion, and pearl fusion white. It combines its longest-in-line shaft with digital throttle and shift, for tall-transom boats with a Mercury-compatible electronic helm.

Color choices

Specify the finish name at order time.

Specification beneath the finish

The powerhead's displacement rating is 4.6. RPM at the top end runs 5200 to 6000. Mercury's spec sheet lists 527 lbs dry. Digital throttle and shift means electronic rather than cable-driven helm controls; confirm compatibility before ordering. This configuration is not shown with a counter-rotation option.

Q: Does color change the mechanical spec? No, it's purely cosmetic across the three finishes.

A manual, a tool kit, and mounting hardware make up what's in the crate. A propeller is an added purchase here, not a standard inclusion. EFI feeds the engine, with power trim and tilt also standard. 3-year coverage from Mercury Marine comes standard here. Buyers switching between tiller and remote-console control should budget for extra rigging work. The two layouts are not a drop-in swap for each other. A motor's finish and its mechanical configuration are ordered independently, so double-check both before finalizing. Getting the control type right matters as much as getting the shaft length right from the start.

None of the three finishes changes the shaft length or the electronic helm underneath. Coordinate the paint schedule with your rigger so the engine and the hull finish are ready at the same time.
